Medical Assistant – New York, NY

Doctor Keloid Scar & Cosmetic Center is a leading practice specializing in advanced keloid scar treatment, cosmetic procedures, and skin health. We are rapidly expanding and seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to support our New York City practice.

We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about patient care, enjoys hands-on involvement in clinical treatments, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Experience in dermatology, plastic surgery, or aesthetics is strongly preferred. Proficiency with electronic medical records, especially Nextech, is a plus.

The Medical Assistant will work closely with our surgeons and clinical team to ensure exceptional patient experiences—from consultation to recovery—while also supporting some administrative functions when needed.

Responsibilities include:

• Assisting providers during consultations, examinations, and minor cosmetic procedures
• Preparing treatment rooms, instruments, and supplies to maintain clinical readiness
• Documenting patient information and maintaining accuracy in Nextech EMR
• Educating patients on pre- and post-treatment care instructions
• Scheduling appointments, follow-ups, and coordinating care with the team
• Supporting front desk coverage including phones, patient check-in/out, and confirmations
• Maintaining patient flow and a clean, welcoming environment

Additional expectations:

• Strong interest in cosmetic and dermatologic procedures
• Excellent communication and patient-service skills
• Ability to multitask and remain organized in a high-volume practice
• Flexibility to assist in both clinical and administrative functions
• Uphold compliance, safety, and privacy standards (HIPAA)

Our services include keloid removal, scar revision, injectables, laser treatments, cosmetic skin procedures, and other aesthetic services.

Knowledge of injectables, laser platforms, skincare treatments, and medical terminology in aesthetic medicine is strongly preferred.
