You will be designing on a shared, unified platform that can scale across multiple lines of business. About You: An ambitious AI engineer, you will have the opportunity to make a large impact on our industry-leading medical synthesis product. You display a high degree of ownership and have a history of driving projects to completion from ideation through deployment. You enjoy working at a fast-paced startup and excel in that environment. You stay up to date on the latest AI research and are excited by the idea of incorporating it to provide better outcomes for users.

In this Role You Will:

• Design, build, and deploy AI features to an industry-leading claim synthesis product, including extracting key information from complex medical documents and a human-in-the-loop summarization system


• Write scalable code and improve the performance of existing systems


• Collaborate with data labelers and subject matter experts to evaluate and continuously improve the performance of AI systems


• Work closely with Product counterparts to rapidly iterate on user feedback


• Translate cutting-edge research into production-grade solutions. Turn the latest advancements in AI into scalable, high-impact systems that operate seamlessly in live customer environments

Skills Requirements:

• 3+ years experience writing performant Python code that follows modern best practices


• At least 1 year building and deploying LLM-based products in a fast-paced, professional environment


• Experience building API integrations and working within a service-oriented architecture


• Exhibited ability to evaluate LLM outputs in novel ways that strongly align with business outcomes and user preferences


• Expert at prompt engineering

Bonus Points:

• Experience translating state-of-the-art research papers into production code


• Accustomed to collaborating with data labelers and SMEs


• Experience building production agentic systems


• Experience working with non-text modalities (images, audio, etc.)

• Compensation: The salary range for this role is $165-185K with flexibility plus meaningful equity plan
