We’re looking for a dedicated Math Tutor who loves teaching, enjoys working one-on-one with students, and wants to make a real difference.
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Math Tutor to provide in-home tutoring for middle and high school students (Grades 7–12) . The ideal candidate is a certified teacher or experienced tutor with strong communication skills and a genuine passion for education.
This is a part-time, flexible tutoring job —perfect for teachers, substitute teachers, graduate students, or education professionals looking for rewarding part-time work.
Responsibilities
Provide engaging, 1-hour in-home math tutoring sessions weekly
Customize lessons to each student’s needs, learning style, and goals
Help students understand key math concepts and prepare for exams
Complete an online tutoring session form after each lesson
Communicate regularly with supervisors and parents
Track and report student progress
Attend a minimum of 6 hours of paid professional development per year
Maintain professionalism, reliability, and adherence to our Code of Ethics
Qualifications
NYS Math 7–12 Teaching Certification (required)
At least 1 year of math teaching or tutoring experience
Reliable transportation for travel to students’ homes
Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
Dependable, punctual, and committed to student success
Passion for education and a desire to help students reach their potential
